What are Dolch Words?

Dolch Sight words are a list of high frequency words, or words that are used most often, in pre-kindergarten, kindergarten, 1st grade, 2nd grade and 3rd grade reading.  The Dolch Word list contains 220 words that are broken down into appropriate age groups.  It is important for young readers to be able to instantly recognize these high frequency words in order to be proficient and fluent readers.  All of the Dolch Words (high frequency words) are taught in Instant Words In A Flash - Levels 1, 2, and 3.  Many game are included in this unique and effective teaching tool.
